Former Sen. Marcos pays P50,000 fine for violating PET gag order on poll protest case

(Eagle News) — Former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., has already paid the P50,000 fine for violating the supposed gag order imposed by the Presidential Electoral Tribunal regarding public statements on his electoral protest case against Vice-President Leni Robredo.

In a compliance document he submitted, Marcos said he had already complied with the PET order dated June 26 for him to pay the P50,000 fine for not following the gag order issued by the tribunal.

Attached to his pleading was the official receipt on his payment.

Both Marcos and Robredo have been ordered to pay fines for violating the tribunal’s gag order.

So far, only Marcos has paid the fine.  Robredo said she would comply and that her camp might pay the fine on Thursday.
