Former COMELEC janitor who passed the bar, now an election officer

QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has reported that its former janitor who had passed the bar, Atty. Ramil Comendador, had been promoted and appointed as Election Officer IV.

COMELEC Chairman Andres Bautista signed his promotion papers from the Regional Selection Promotions Board on July 17.

“In our previous conversations, I encouraged Atty. Comendador to consider applying for a higher position,” Bautista said.

“We recognize his diligence and determination to reach his goals and we are pleased to see him accept the challenge. We look forward to working with him even more now as he takes on his new role as an Election Officer.”

Comendador started working at the COMELEC as a utility worker on 2007 and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration on 2011 at the Universidad de Manila. He successfully passed the 2016 bar examinations.
