(Eagle News) — Anti-De Lima and Whistleblowers Association of the Philippines (WAP) president Sandra Cam held a rally at the Senate on Thursday night, opposing any special treatment for Senator Leila De Lima.
Cam said that De Lima should for instance not be detained at the Philippine National Police Custodial Center, since she is facing drug trafficking cases.
She said illegal drugs have destroyed many lives.
“Dapat ay isama ito sa regular jail para maramdaman mo (Senator) De Lima that you are now facing the charges of drug trafficking and (being a) drug protector. Ito ay yung menace of our society,” Cam said.
