Former MMDA chair Francis Tolentino appointed political adviser

(Eagle News) — President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed former Metropolitan Manila Development Authority chair Francis Tolentino to the Office of the Political Adviser.

Tolentino, who ran as an independent candidate for a seat in the Senate in May 2016 but fell short after landing 13th place in the elections, will hold the position of political adviser.

“By virtue hereof, you may qualify and enter upon the performance of the duties of the office, furnishing (Malacanang) and the Civil Service Commission of copies of your oath of office,”  an appointment letter dated June 27 said.
