Aguirre orders NBI to probe San Jose Del Monte massacre

(Eagle News)– Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II issued on Friday (June 30) an order directing the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to look into the gruesome massacre of a family in San Jose del Monte City, Bulacan last June 27.

The order also instructed NBI Director Dante Gierran to submit updates about the investigation to the Office of Secretary of Justice.

Authorities have already arrested suspect Carmelino “Miling” Ibañez for allegedly stabbing to death Auring Carlos, her daughter Estrella, and three grandchildren inside their residence.

Ibañez confessed to the crime, saying that he and his cohorts, aliases “Tony” and “Inggo,” were under the influence of illegal drugs and alcohol when they did the slays.

Ibañez also said he raped both Auring and Estrella after he stabbed them to death.

Authorities are still searching for “Tony” and “Inggo.”
