LOS ANGELES, California (Reuters) — Actress Kirsten Dunst turned up for the premiere of ‘Woodshock’ in Hollywood on Monday (September 18).

The film, about a girl called Theresa, who uses her position at a medical marijuana dispensary to euthanize her mother and self-medicate herself, is directed and written by Kate and Laura Mulleavy, the designers of fashion label Rodarte.

Although Dunst has been put through her acting paces by the likes of Lars Von Trier, she recently admitted that the central role in ‘Woodshock’ was her most challenging to date.

Speaking to Reuters at the premiere, Dunst said: “It’s so emotional for me, the preparation because I go through so much. It’s like being inside a woman’s head in this film and it’s a very sensitive role and I have to convey a lot of things without speaking much so it was the most emotionally draining but it’s ok. I did it with my best friends.”

To date, ‘Woodstock’ has not been received well by film critics since it had its world premiere at the Venice International Film Festival at the beginning of September.

It is set for theatrical release in the US on September 22.
