Farmer arrested for alleged vote-buying

TAYUG, Pangasinan (Eagle News) – A farmer was arrested after he allegedly tried to buy votes in Tayug, Pangasinan on Monday, May 14.

The suspect was identified as Martin Fabia, 62, resident of Brgy. Lichauco, Tayug.

Based on initial investigation, Fabia offered Php300 to Criselda Sardon in exchange for her support for Felomino Vidad, but she refused to accept the money.

He allegedly made the offer twice.

Incumbent Brgy. chair Antonio Jacob passed by and arrested Fabia, who denied  the allegations and said he was only  offering the money for the purchase of snacks.

The suspect is now detained at PNP Tayug and is facing criminal charges. Juvy Barrara, Eagle News Service
