TAIPEI, Taiwan (Reuters) — Action movie star Tom Cruise met with fans in Taiwan during a red carpet event to promote his latest movie “The Mummy” on Thursday (May 25), promising fans this won’t be the last time for him to visit.

“This is my fourth time but not my last time to come back to your country,” the 54-year-old actor said to cheers from the audience, joined by his co-actresses Sofia Boutella and Annabelle Wallis, as well as director Alex Kurtzmann.

“The Mummy” is a reboot of the franchise, kicking off a new series of movies with a completely new cast.

Different to previous films of the franchise, this movie takes place in the modern day and is also the first to have a female mummy to come back from the grave to haunt modern people, according to director Alex Kurtzmann.
