(Eagle News) — The Korean boy band group, Bangtan Boy Scouts or “BTS” makes its legendary moment after winning the Top Social Artist from the 2017 Billboard Music Awards presented by ION360 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday night.

BTS also makes history as the first Korean-Pop band to be nominated, invited and to win a Billboard award.

The seven-member South Korean boy band was able to beat pop superstars like Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande and Shawn Mendes, who were also nominated in the Top Social Artist award.

According to reports, fans of this group all over the globe voted for them on twitter over 300 million times, making them win the Top Social Artist of the 2017 Billboard Music Awards.

Meanwhile, Canadian rapper, singer and record producer, Drake was hailed as the big winner at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards, taking home 13 awards.

Drake also made history as the artist with the most awards in a single year.
