“Fate of the Furious” tops $163 million in sales

(Reuters) — “The Fate of the Furious” netted another win at the North American Box office from Friday (April 21) through Sunday (April 23). The film earned more than 38 million this weekend and a total of 163 million in combined U.S. sales according to Box Office Mojo. It has already garnered more than 908 million dollars worldwide.

In the second place slot, a hold over from previous weeks is “The Boss Baby” which added more than 12 million to its global haul of 358 million; and “Beauty and the Beast” in the third slot, which added another 9 million dollars to its international earnings of more than 1 billion dollars.

“Born in China,” a nature film following three animal families, took the fourth place position at the box office. It took in more than 5 million dollars in sales during its opening weekend.

Rounding out the top five was “Going in Style” which brought in more than 5 million in sales.
