(Eagle News) — Former senator Juan Ponce Enrile refiled his certificate of candidacy (COC) on Wednesday, October 17, as a senatorial candidate for next year’s elections after the wrong profession was listed in the COC he had earlier filed on Tuesday.

Enrile, 94, went to the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) main office in Intramuros, Manila to refile his COC where his correct profession as a “lawyer” is listed.

In the first COC filed for him on Tuesday, the word “businesswoman” was incorrectly placed in the space for the profession or occupation.

Enrile is seeking a fifth term as senator of the Philippines. He had previously served as Senate President, first in 2008, and again in 2010.
