In an interview with Radio-Television Malacanang uploaded on Facebook, Philippine Ambassador to Papua New Guinea Bienvenido Tejano said Prime Minister Peter O’Neill was raring to see the Duterte, who welcomed him on May 16 in the Philippines.

“Every now and then we meet he would always ask me, ‘so make sure that President Duterte will come.’ I said he made a commitment,'” Tejano said.

The ambassador added that Port Moresby governor Powes Parkop was also interested in inking a sister city agreement with Davao, where Duterte hails.

“Maybe it can happen sometime in the future but I will also express that to the President,” Tejano said.
