Diskusyon – DOTC attributes to human error latest round of MRT failures (Part 2)

As the years pass, many problems have been noticed plaguing the mass transit system, in particular, the Metro Rail Transit. These past few days recorded some of the more dramatic ones.

Some of the notable examples include power outages blamed on damages done by past typhoons, which stalled the MR on July 16.

And what’s worse is the derailment of the MRT in Pasay, which, according to the resulting investigation, was caused by human error or technical problem.

Despite of these problems, the Department of Transportation and Communications is striving to make the MRT modernization process faster.

In particular, DOTC is buying additional rail parts that is expected to arrive next year.
