(Eagle News)—–The Department of Foreign Affairs on Sunday, Sept. 30, vowed justice for a Filipina who was killed allegedly by her Swedish actor-husband in Kista, Sweden on Sept. 23.

In a statement, the DFA said the Philippine Embassy in Norway was in contact with Swedish authorities, and was working with the Swedish government-provided lawyer handling the case of Mailyn Conde Sinambong, a  mother of two.

Mailyn’s husband, the DFA said, is in the custody of Swedish authorities.

“The Embassy is also in touch with Mailyn’s aunt in Norway and her mother in Medellin, Cebu,” the DFA said, referring to Maria Monato.

According to the DFA, Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano also gave the assurance that “all the necessary assistance shall be extended to Mailyn’s family to (also) immediately reunite her with her loved ones in the Philippines..”
