(Eagle News)–The Filipina who was killed in Sweden has been laid to rest, the Department of Foreign Affairs said on Tuesday, Nov. 27.

In a statement, the DFA said Mailyn Conde Sinambong was buried at the Norra Begravningsplatsen cemetery.

Her two children, her aunt and cousin from Norway, her brother and cousin from the Philippines, and her in-laws were present, as well as Consul General Maria Elena Algabre of the Philippine Embassy in Oslo and Suzette Aluag-Callo of the DFA Office of Migrant Workers Affairs, the DFA said.

Sinambong’s son is currently staying with his paternal uncle while her daughter is with the foster family that has been taking care of her since birth.

The embassy has recently hired a lawyer to see how Sinambong’s mother in Cebu could secure custody of her children.
