Death toll in Bulacan drug ops rises to 32

(Eagle News) — The death toll in overnight raids in Bulacan has risen to 32.

In a press conference on Wednesday, Bulacan director Senior Supt. Romeo Caramat said of the 32 killed, 16 were on their drug watch list, two were surrenderees and 14 were new in the drug trade.

He said all in all, the police conducted 66 operations from 12 a.m, August 15, to 12 midnight the same day.

Of the 66, he said 44 were buy-bust operations, 14 were raids by virtue of search warrants, two were anti-criminality checkpoints, and one was an arrest warrant implementation.

 

He said from the operations, they were able to seize P1.174 million worth of shabu, and 765 grams of marijuana leaves.

They also recovered 34 firearms, two grenades, and 114 live ammunitions, he said.
