(Eagle News) — Almost all the winners in the 2018 barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections have been proclaimed.
According to Commission on Elections Acting Chairman Al Parreño, who held a press conference on Tuesday night, May 15, 99.81 percent have already been declared winners.
He, however, said that the proclamation of approximately 729 candidates has been suspended pending a review of whether or not they exceeded the age requirement of SK officers, and whether or not they violated the anti-dynasty law.
The Comelec has said there was no reported failure of elections in the country.
