CJ De Castro calls on PNP to “exert all means, efforts to apprehend” those behind Ozamiz RTC executive judge killing

(Eagle News)–Chief Justice Teresita de Castro on Monday, Oct. 8, called on the Philippine National Police to “exert all means and efforts to apprehend the perpetrators” of the killing of the Ozamiz Regional Trial Court executive judge “at the soonest possible time.”

According to De Castro, she has also “instructed the Court Administrator to coordinate with all law enforcement officers to bring to justice those responsible” for the death of Edmundo Pintac, who had been an RTC judge for 15 years.

Pintac was shot dead on Monday, Oct. 8, as he was on his way home.

“The Court is deeply saddened with the news..,” De Castro said.

“Our prayers and sympathies go out to the family of Judge Pintac. May they find strength in this moment of grief,” De Castro added.
