QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — People’s Republic of China’s President Xi Jinping on Tuesday, August 8 sent his greetings to President Rodrigo Duterte during the observance of the 50th anniversary of the Association of South East Nation (ASEAN)
Xi said that it is an honor for China to be a dialogue partner of the ASEAN in the economic growth as well as in keeping the peace of the region.
“On this occasion of the 50th anniversary of the founding of ASEAN, I would like to, on behalf of the Chinese government and the Chinese people and in my own name, express warm congratulations to you, and through you, to the governments and peoples of the member states of ASEAN,” Xi said in the message.
“China-Asean ties have become one of the most vigorous and enriched dialogue partnerships of ASEAN,” Xi added.
