Classes in Davao City to resume on Tuesday, Nov. 5

Thunderstorm advisory hoisted over Laguna, four other areas

(Eagle News) — A thunderstorm advisory has been hoisted over Laguna and other areas. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said moderate to heavy rainshowers with possible lightning and strong winds are also expected over Rizal, Quezon, Batangas and Bulacan within the next two hours. “All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides,” PAGASA said.

Mild 3.5-magnitude quake hits Cotabato

(Eagle News)–A mild 3.5-magnitude earthquake struck Cotabato on Sunday, Nov. 3. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 15 kilometers southwest of Makilala at 4:12 a.m. Depth of focus was 16 kilometers. (Eagle News)–A yellow rainfall warning has been hoisted over parts of Mindanao due to a low pressure area embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone. (Eagle News)–A 4.5-magnitude earthquake struck Cotabato on Saturday, Nov. 2. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 23 kilometers southeast of Tulunan at 2:38 a.m. Depth of focus was six kilometers. DOJ to probe attack on broadcaster in Sultan Kudarat
