3.6-magnitude quake jolts Maguindanao

(Eagle News)–A 3.6-magnitude earthquake struck Maguindanao on Saturday, March 7. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 1:05 p.m., had its epicenter  48 kilometers northwest of Upi. It had a depth of focus of 21 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.5-magnitude quake hits Cagayan

(Eagle News)–A 3.5-magnitude earthquake struck Cagayan on Saturday, March 7. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 9:52 a.m., had its epicenter 53 kilometers southeast of Gonzaga. It had a depth of focus of 12 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.  

Visayas, Caraga, Zamboanga Peninsula to have cloudy skies, scattered rainshowers due to LPA

(Eagle News)–Visayas, Caraga and Zamboanga Peninsula will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms today. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said this was due to the  Low Pressure Area estimated 30 kilometers west northwest of Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Sur. (Eagle News) — A heavy rainfall warning has been hoisted over parts of Visayas. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said a yellow rainfall warning has been hoisted over Leyte, Southern Leyte, Bohol and the southern portions of Samar and Eastern Samar. (Eagle News)–A 3.7-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental on Friday, March 6. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 11:38 a.m., had its epicenter 403 kilometers southeast of Sarangani. It had a depth of focus of 51 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

(Eagle News)–An alert level 2 remains hoisted over Taal.
