SWS: Number of jobless Filipinos down to 8.6 million in June 2018

(Eagle News) — The number of Filipinos who are jobless went down in the second quarter of 2018, a Social Weather Stations survey said. According to the SWS, adult joblessness was at 19.7 percent, or equivalent to 8.6 million adults. The pollster said this was 4.2 points below the 23.9 percent rate, equivalent to 10.9 million adults, registered in March 2018, but four points above the December 2017 rate.
