Caloocan court orders arrest of three policemen, police asset over Kian Delos Santos’ killing

(Eagle News) — The Caloocan Regional Trial Court ordered on Wednesday the arrest of three policemen and a police asset for the killing of Kian delos Santos, and the planting of evidence.

Arrest warrants were issued against P03 Arnel Oares, PO1 Jeremias Pereda, P01 Jerwin Cruz after Branch 125 Judge Rodolfo Azucena Jr.  found probable cause for the charges against them.

No bail was recommended for the policemen, who are currently restricted to the National Capital Region Police Office headquarters following Delos Santos’ killing in August.

Renato Loveraz alias “Nonong” was also ordered arrested after he allegedly planted a gun on Delos Santos.

He may post bail at P80,000, the court said.

Delos Santos only went out to buy a snack when he was killed while the police who were conducting a drug raid in Caloocan.

The police had said Delos Santos had shot at them, an allegation his father denied.

Delos Santos’ father said his son did not even know how to hold a gun.

He also questioned the place where the gun was found–to Delos Santos’ left.

He said his son was not left-handed.
