(Eagle News) — President Rodrigo Duterte’s daughter Kitty, his daughter-in-law and his granddaughter received shots of the controversial Dengvaxia vaccine.

Special Assistant to the President Bong Go said the wife of presidential son Paolo Duterte, Sabina Duterte, issued the clarification herself that apart from Kitty, it was she and her daughter Sabina who were given the shots.

It was Go who earlier said that Kitty, Sabina and her brother Uno had been administered the vaccine.

The President tapped a three-man foreign team to look into the effects of Dengvaxia on people, following the conflicting results of studies conducted by the University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital and the Public Attorneys’ Office.

PAO has said the deaths of some who were vaccinated were linked to Dengvaxia, but the UP-PGH said this was not conclusive.

A national vaccination program involving the vaccine and that was started under then-President Benigno Aquino III’s term has been ordered stopped.
