Authorities raid shabu lab in Batangas; six arrested

IBAAN, Batangas (Eagle News) – Six people, including two Chinese nationals, were arrested after authorities raided  a shabu laboratory in Batangas on Thursday, April 12.

An initial police report said personnel from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and Ibaan Municipal Police Station raided Hingoso farms in Barangay Sto. Nino at 5:30 a.m. and discovered it was being used to manufacture the illegal substance.

The raid was organized after residents in the area complained of a distinct smell emanating from the area.

Authorities said the laboratory had been in operation for three weeks, and could produce 25 kilograms of shabu every day.
