Asean officials convene in Pasay to prepare for November summit

(Eagle News) — High-ranking officials from the 10 Association of Southeast Asian Nations member-states are meeting in Pasay starting today to discuss preparations for the summit next month.

Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Enrique Manalo chairs the three-day Asean consultative meeting that aims to also serve as a venue for the proposed outcome of the documents that will be released during the 31st ASEAN Summit and Related Meetings to be discussed.

The meeting will be held at the Philippine International Convention Center.

After the joint consultation meeting, the Asean senior officials will meet with their counterparts from China, Japan and South Korea.
