QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News Service, May 18) – If you are looking for a movie with a coherent storyline, a movie that is relevant to modern issues, an movie full of insights, then this is not that movie.
What is it is a movie that is sublimely fun to watch and, of course full of astounding musical performances.
Fans of the first “Pitch Perfect” movie will not be disappointed with the newest installment of the popular movie franchise. “Pitch Perfect 2” has bigger, better and more extravagant musical numbers and performances that will make the audience go wow!
Besides the music, “Pitch Perfect 2” is basically a story of redemption, of knowing what you like to do with your life and doing what you can to achieve it, even if it means that you will have to sacrifice what you are currently doing.
The movie also teaches us on how to move on, that even if what we have presently seems to be as good as it gets, that we should be brave to leave our comfort zone and to explore and we’ll find that something infinitely better is waiting for us out there.
Another lesson learned is that no matter how technically good and perfect one is, if one lacks that special touch, that connection to other people’s lives, then your efforts would have been for naught.
“Pitch Perfect 2” is definitely not a serious movie, and may not be beloved by film critics but it manages to get across its lessons and touched the hearts of the people that watched it with music and song.
