All set for 2016 Labor Day jobs and career fairs, DOLE says

MANILA, April 30 – The Department of Labor said that all is set for the 2016 Labor Day Jobs and Career Fairs which will be conducted from 8:00 o’clock in the morning to 4:00 o’clock in the afternoon at the World Trade Center along Gil Puyat Avenue Extension corner President Diosdado Macapagal Blvd. in Pasay City.

The activity which has for its theme “Kinabukasan Sigurado sa Disenteng Trabaho” will focus on the jobless Filipinos who are seeking for employment.

In line with the activity, DOLE reminds job applicants for local employment, to bring their Curriculum Vitae (bring multiple copies); 2 x 2 ID photo; Photocopy of training certificates; Driver’s license (if applicable);Accreditation for Heavy Equipment Operators (if applicable); PRC license (if applicable); and Diploma.

Job applicants seeking for overseas employment must bring  Curriculum Vitae (bring multiple copies);     2 x 2 ID photo; Diploma; Passport; Photocopy of NSO Birth Certificate (for visa application); NBI clearance; PRC License (if applicable); and Certificate of Employment.

Other than employment opportunities, pre-employment documentation and advisory services will be provided by various government entities:

• BIR – Tax Identification Number (TIN) issuance

• NBI – clearance issuance

• NSO – birth/marriage certificates issuance

• PAG-IBIG – loan/housing concerns, membership application

• PhilHealth – membership application

• Philippine Postal Corporation – Postal ID issuance

• PRC – professional license renewal, licensure examination application

• SSS – membership application
