Albayalde sacks 10 San Rafael, Bulacan policemen for alleged extortion; San Rafael police chief also dismissed

(Eagle News) — Philippine National Police Chief Oscar Albayalde has ordered the dismissal of ten San Rafael, Bulacan policemen for alleged extortion, and the San Rafael police chief for command responsibility.

Also charged with  kidnapping, robbery in band and for violation of the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act were Senior Inspector Wilfredo Dizon Jr.; SP04 Gary Santos; SPO2 Christopher Aragon; SPO1 Dante Castillo; SPO1 Jophey Cucal; SPO1 Rolando Ignacio Jr; PO3 Dennis De Vera; PO2 Rosauro Enrile; PO2 Nicanor Bautista; and PO2 Chester Say-eo.

Albayalde said they were also facing administrative charges after they were found to have extorted P50,000 in exchange for the release of the victims they arrested on May 19.

The police chief said he was also mulling reassigning the 10 cops in places where policemen are needed.

Also relieved was San Rafael police chief Supt. Rizalino Andaya for command responsibility.
