Gilas Pilipinas will begin preparations for the 2017 FIBA-Asia Cup soon. This after they clinched the much-coveted SEABA championship with a win against Indonesia on Thursday night.
According to Gilas head coach Chot Reyes, the national squad will immediately train for the upcoming tournament in Lebanon in August, after only a few days of rest.
Reyes issued the statement after the national crushed Indonesia with a 33-point blowout in its last SEABA match.
The final score was 97-64.
Reyes thanked the players for their hard work, and cited his staff, including former Gilas Pilipinas player Jimmy Alapag, for the feat.
