AFP: Premature to conclude recent killings of local officials linked to “NPA plan” to oust Duterte

(Eagle News) — The Armed Forces of the Philippines said it was premature to conclude the recent killings of local politicians were part of a supposed plan of the New People’s Army (NPA) to oust President Rodrigo Duterte.

Arevalo gave the assurance though that the AFP will not allow the destabilization plot, if any, to happen.

“Apparently, meron daw pong disconnect, kasi sinasabi natin na mahina na yung NPA. …Hindi nga ito papayagan ng inyong AFP,” he said.
