According toAño, they expected the President to go to Marawi “anytime soon.”

He said the chief executive was in fact supposed to visit the war-torn city on Monday morning.

“But we expect a very big fight today na nagsimula kaninang umaga , kaya sabi namin patapusin muna natin ang bakbakan. Alam niyo naman si Presidente, icacancel niya lahat ng activities niya just to be with the troops,” Año said.
