An Afghan family with two of its family members refuging in Europe is eager to reunite with them there.
Mujitaba Sediq, a young resident in Afghanistan’s capital Kabul, is running a stationery to support his family.
Owing to the turbulent situation in Afghan, Mujitaba’s elder brother lost his job as a translator in a foreigner-owned enterprise in Kabul.
Seeing that it’s difficult to live in Afghanistan, the whole family decided to send Mujitaba’s elder brother to Europe together with his little brother.
“All the family members agreed to let them go, because it’s dangerous to stay here,” said Mujitaba Sediq.
It’s difficult for Afghans to apply for visas to European countries without warrant, so they have to enter Europe illegally, which costs a big amount of money in the journey.
“Now we have owed 12,000 dollars to my relatives. It’s difficult to pay the money back due to the bad business. We are expecting that my brother can find a good job in Europe, and then we can repay the money,” said Mujitaba.
“The first time that they contacted with us was the day when they had left Afghanistan for about ten days. They told us what they had suffered from, which made us worry about them. Most of the troubles that they met with happened during the time they passed through the border between Iran and Turkey. They were robbed on the way and kept climbing a mountain for 18 hours, when they fell and got injured. My father and mother are worried about them and miss them. They cried when talking with their beloved little son,” said Mujitaba.
Fortunately, Mujitaba’s brothers have arrived in Europe, but they didn’t reach their initial destination Germany. They are doing some part-time jobs to support themselves in Hungary now.
“The situation and living conditions are not good here. If they can find good jobs and live a better life in Europe, we can go to find them then,” said mujitaba. (CCTV)
