Actor Rob Schneider was the victim of a home invasion on Friday (July 24), according to local media citing the Los Angeles Police Department on Monday (July 27).
LAPD spokesman Mike Lopez said that a female reported the burglary at the Encino neighborhood residence after coming home to find the door unexpectedly flung open.
Officers determined that the incident took place between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. local time and that thieves made off with almost $70,000 in jewelry and electronics, according to local media.
TMZ reported that a Willie Mays baseball card worth an estimated $175,000 was also among the items taken.
Schneider, a veteran of “Saturday Night Live”, was reportedly at the Comedy Film Festival in Montreal at the time.
