To Reconnect men to God – How is it done?

Victoria, British Columbia

Members of the Church of Christ in the Local of Victoria, in the District of Western Canada continuously gave out and contributed pamphlets to their friends and loved ones as days pass by after their Worldwide Distribution of Pamphlets held last May 14 and 15 towards the much anticipated endeavor of the Church, the project ReConnect Worldwide Evangelical Mission, on May 21, 2016 here in the west and May 22, 2016 in the Philippines.

This historic event was transmitted live via the latest and most modern technology available to connect about 2,900 sites in the Philippines and in different parts of the world that easily translated to millions of viewers, simultaneous, in real time, listening to their Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo.

In its true meaning and essence of the word to ReConnect people of different race and nationalities, the message of this noble mission was taught in Tagalog and was translated and delivered in different languages and dialects accordingly in the said 2,900 sites and localities.

In Victoria alone, there were visitors of few nationalities: Filipino, Caucasian, Japanese-Chinese and African; however, English was the language used in our translation room, which is the first language used in Canada, part of the continent of North America.

There was not much hindrance or challenges encountered by the members in the Local of Victoria, as in other places where the weather is not very cooperative — just an example; but it is their guests’ availability and curiosity to listen to the teachings of the Church of Christ.

One guest, Emma Hou, of Japanese-Chinese ancestry is a young student who was invited by her classmate.

“I was invited by my friend, Devin Sanchez, who has persistently sending me messages to attend your event today. I don’t really have anything to do so I decided to come here. When I got here, that’s the only time Devin explained a little bit more about your Church. I don’t believe in any religion but I read the Holy Bible. I don’t quite understand the Bible and I saw Devin’s invitation as an opportunity to understand and know more about this thing.”

In the homily, it was mentioned that the Book of the Lord, the Holy Bible, is what man should look for and read to get the answers to most of our questions. From prophecies to everyday way of life questions, God gives men the answers through the Bible. This must have really hit home for Emma.

Emma Hou interacted more with the young members of the Church after the event and has attended the worship service the following day.
