(Eagle News) — Three Russian Navy vessels, including two anti-submarine vessels, carrying Russia-donated equipment and vehicles to the Philippines, docked in Manila on Friday.

Admiral Panteleyev (548), Admiral Vinogradov (572), and the large sea tanker Boris Butoma docked at Pier 15 of the Manila South Harbor as part of a six-day goodwill visit.

According to Navy officials, they carried around 5,000 assault rifles, a million rounds of ammunition and 20 army trucks.

President Rodrigo Duterte already made a pronouncement that Russia would make such a donation.

He said the shipment was “fruit” of his trip to Russia.
