21 injured after passenger bus slams into vehicles in Parañaque

(Eagle News)–Twenty-one people were injured after a bus slammed into at least nine vehicles in Parañaque on Friday.

A police report said the Ismael Bus Line driven by Francisco Capala, 40, was plying Roxas Boulevard corner Coastal Road in Barangay Tambo when the incident took place at 10:20 a.m.

Capala and the other injured were rushed to the San Juan De Dios and Ospital ng Parañaque for treatment.

Police have yet to determine why the passenger bus rammed into the vehicles.

Last Sunday, a Dimple Star Transport bus fell off a cliff in Occidental Mindoro, killing 19 people.

The incident prompted President Rodrigo Duterte to order the arrest of the company operator, who surfaced in the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation Detection Group and promised to cooperate in the investigation.

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board suspended the company’s entire fleet following the incident.
